My experience has been a fun and intersting time so far. I have been seeing a lot of news regarding animal rights all over the world. I saw some depressing and sad videos on twitter as well about the cruel treatment of animals in farms and zoos. Some of the videos I watched showed the owner of the zoo whipping tigers repeatedly with force and I could not believe that this is still going on in our world today. A person I think will be helpful that I followed is Carl Safina because he seems to be knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to animal science. I followed organizations like PETA, The Humane Society of the U.S and the Humane Society International which I feel like will help increase my knowledge regarding animal issues across the globe. I retweeted a lot of the Human Society of the U.S. and International videos on my twitter profile. Although it is sad, the topics of animal treatment in zoos and farms definitely interest me for further research in the future. As far as using the platform, I am comfortable with it and I am excited to continue my learning about animal issues.
