Surfing through twitter and the web I found some very interesting information about animals all over the world. The best piece of information that I found is pretty sad. It involves baby calves, and how they are ripped away from their mother at a young age, pressed against the ground, and have their faces burned to be used for car leather interior. It was definitely sickening to read about this treatment of the baby calves. The best accounts that I followed were the World Association Zoos and Aquariums, The Ellen Fund, and and Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. I retweeted tweets mostly about the cruel treatment of animals in the world, and also some were about how cities in China started banning consumption of dog and cat meat and wildlife in general. I responded to interesting facts posted by my classmates regarding koalas, and red pandas. I thin my tweet about Red Pandas becoming endangered was the best because they are such a unique and beautiful species, and it is heartbreaking to know they are becoming endangered.
For the blogs that I responded to, I responded to posts from Briana, Jazmine, and Angeles.
For Briana's post I talked about how cute her cats are and how cats are also wonderful pets. For Jazmine's post I commented on her relationship with her dogs and how animals intelligence can be underestimated from a human point of view. For Angeles's post I wrote about sweet her dog looked and about how dogs can understand their emotions of their owner. I also liked how she referenced the TIME articles to her life experience with her dog.
