Week 6 Blog and Twitter Update

In this week of surfing through twitter I found some really interesting things about my topic of chimpanzees and social intelligence. While I was hashtag surfing I searched #chimpanzee and social and a lot of interesting things for my literature review topic popped up from twitter. Even the hashtag social intelligence popped up a lot of good information about all kinds of animals social intelligence abilities. The most interesting account I followed was Animal Planet and I was surprised at myself for not following them earlier because they had so much good information about different animals on their page. I found a really interesting tweet showing a video of a chimpanzee using instagram the same way a human would. Literally the chimpanzee was scrolling through photos and using the app like an experienced user and it was crazy to watch the chimpanzee be able to do that.

For my reply I responded to Rajath's annotated bibliography about tigers. I thought his research agenda page was set up nicely and it looked good. The sources were recent and well connected and I thought the annotated bibliography was well done because it wasn't too long or too short I thought the articles mentioned were summarized clearly. The topic was also cool and covered some interesting things regarding tigers and their social structure.

Here is the awesome tweet I found of a chimpanzee using instagram.

The articles do seem to be connected. Two are even written by the same authors. They are good sources for the LR.

  2. The annotations do a good job of covering the basics. The authors and their credentials are mentioned along with summaries of the studies. They could use a bit more detail, but overall give a good idea of what the articles are about.

  3. The research agenda page is clear and straight to the point. There is a description…
